Mammary hypertrophy is defined by a volume of breasts too large, particularly in relation to the morphology of the patient. This excess of volume is usually associated with a sagging of the breasts (ptosis).
Mammary hypertrophy almost  involves a psychological and physical  consequences (pain in the neck, shoulders and back, gene for the practice of sports, clothing difficulties).
Intervention,
Mammary reduction, carries out the removal of breast tissue in excess. It retains a volume in harmony with the silhouette of the patient.
A mammaplasty for hypertrophy can be carried out from the end of growth and beyond, for the duration of life.

This residual breast volume is ascended, concentrated and remodeled and then we adapt the skin envelope, which requires removing excess skin to ensure a good performance and a good curve to the new breasts.
Often scars have the form of: - T reversed with three components:
periareolar ( at the edge of the areola)
vertical, ( between the lower pole of the areola and the inframammary groove),
horizontal ( hidden in the inframammary groove)
When the hypertrophy is moderate we can achieve a vertical or periareolar (round block) approach alone.
The smoking cessation is strongly recommended, at least one month before (tobacco may be responsible for a delay in healing).
A subsequent pregnancy is of course possible.
The risk of cancer is not increased by this operation.
Surgical intervention is aimed reducing the volume of the breasts, the correction of ptosis and a possible asymmetry.
