Face lift means aesthetic surgical procedures of the face and or the neck.
A face lift can be carried out as soon as signs of aging appear and the patient feels a real need for their correction, generally around the age of 40 or 45.
This procedure can be carried out at the same time with another facial cosmetic procedure: blepharoplasty, forehead lift, laserabrasion, dermabrasion, chemical peels, and medical treatment of wrinkles…
The two types of face lift are the
Cervico-facial lifting and the medio or centro-facial lifting.
These techniques are not opposed but have different objectives. They may in some cases be associated.

The medio or centro-facial lift is indicated for lower eyelids, ringshollow. It raises the cheekbones and especially back up jugal grease which has sag over time. The incisions are hidden in the lower eyelid.
The face and neck-lift (cervico-facial lift) aim to correct the aging neck and face from the forehead to the jowl.
The incisions necessary for the procedure are hidden almost entirely in the hair and around the ears. The scar is almost very secret.
The skin is undermined on a limited area. Then the muscles are also undermined and tightened to correct slackness.
The skin is then draped as required over the new curves, without excessive stretching. This dual action gives a natural appearance to the face.
Excess fat, if present can be treated by liposuction or if the face appears emaciated, this can be corrected at the same time by re-injection of autologous fat (liposculpture).
With this new technique the healing process is generally very fast: less bruising, swelling, hematoma….
The goal of the operation is to correct the laxity of the skin and muscles of the face and the neck by tightening them, restoring the different anatomical structures of the face and neck for patient to look younger for several years.
